Waste Management Complaint

bad business practices - dumpster service

This company renewed our contract without a proper signature and on top of ir increased our rates even though they claimed we are under their contract. How does that work? Don't allow any employee to sign anything for Waste Management as you may be stuck in a deal you don't want.

The bottom line for every business, large and small, do not ever sign a Service Agreement with Waste Management. Their business practices and business model is onerous and designed to legally allow them to gain unfair economical advantages without full disclosure. WM has been prosecuted and convicted in the past by the SEC for overstating their profits. This should tell everyone something about their business ethics. Customers who believe they have been ripped off by WM, should file a complaint with their state's Attorney General and if available, their Department of Business Regulation. Also, contact your local city government and file a complaint as well.

I just had the same thing happen. They kept the base rate the same, but kept increasing the fuel surcharge and the environmental fees. Then, when I wanted to cancel, they said I had signed a contract a little over 3 years ago and that it rolled over automatically, locking me in for another 3 years. Then, when I got out of the contract, they charged me 150 dollars to pick up the dumpster!! What crooks!
